  • Before Rozonda joined group members, Tionne Tenese Watkins "T-Boz" and Lisa Nicole Lopes "Left Eye", the group already had chosen the name TLC. Chilli's first name is Rozonda so it did not fit in. Instantly the late and creative Lisa came up with the name Chilli for her. In interviews she said that she received the name Chilli, because she brought the RNB sauce to the group.
