Earl Ray Is The Next Best Thing coming from the south. With a style of RnB that is different than others, he is ready to capture the hearts of young girls worldwide. ChilliFan.com had the opportunity to interview Earl Ray and ask him about his upcoming project and his Konvict Family, including our very own Chilli.

Chilli Fan: I've heard a few songs are floating around on the internet and mixtapes, what is the official first single ?
Earl Ray: Doying Doying Doying is the official single. Akon released a couple ofrecords just to see what the market was feeling the most.

Chilli Fan: Speaking of Akon, how did you hook up with him?
Earl Ray: Well I actually grew up around Akon so it was destined that we work together. He's like a brother to me. As soon I got to Atlanta I had the privilege of workin with Akon.

Chilli Fan: You will be his first release on his new Kon Live label right ?
Earl Ray: Yep Sir!!!!! I'm very honored to be da next one in line after T-Pain.. Pain set da tone, now I have to keep this thang going...Then comes the wonderful Chilli from TLC.

Chilli Fan: Who did you work with for your album ?
Earl Ray: I had a wonderful time recording my album I must say.... I got a bunch of hott producers that came through and blessed me... Lil Ronnie... he did 2004 for Rubben Studdard... Da Corner Boyz, they did hits for Omarion, and Marques Houston.... Sean Hall, who did a lot for 3LW....this new upcoming producer Vision.... then of course my big brother Akon and his right hand man Jo J.

Chilli Fan: Sounds like its going to be crazy, I heard you got a song called Deez nutz what is that all about? Who produced that one?
Earl Ray: (Ha Ha Ha Ha) Man I got the idea to go out the box and just do something different. I'm not try'na disrespect females in no tpye of way..... I just wanted to do something different with R&B.. I feel like R&B needs a twist and I wanna be da guy to come and twist it up. I grew up around a bunch of crazy people, which gave me a wonderful sense of humor... I write and say and sing what I feel..... Akon gave me da permission to do my album how I wanted and I ran with it. Deez Nutz is one of my favorites... Sean Hall produced and co-wrote it with me.

Chilli Fan: Nice. So you also worked with Chilli for her own album which is also coming out in 2007 ?
Earl Ray: Yes I sure did!!!! I love her so much!!! I've always been a Chili fan since da beginning of TLC... it is a pleasure working with someone you've always had a crush on....ha.ha.ha.ha. I just wrote a song for her title "No Rings On These Fingers".... it's a club type vibe, and simply for guys who try'na tell they girl what to do but ain't practicing wat they preaching. I think she's grown a lot and has been through enough experiences. This song is gonna be big for her!

Chilli Fan: That sounds hot. So should we expect something new from Chilli she taking her voices new places ?
Earl Ray: Yes!!!!!! She's definitely gonna shock you this time!! I can't give away too much information on her but expect the unexpected from Chilli.

Chilli Fan: Sounds amazing. You said you had a crush on her lol how was it workign with her ? Were you blushing the whole time or did you keep your cool ?
Earl Ray: Man I was like a high school boy! When she walked in da room I tried to play cool but I couldn't stop looking at her...lol... She's a very down to earth person so it made my job a lot easier... with her fine ass...lol.lol.lol

Chilli Fan: Ha Ha So when is your first single, Doying Doying Doying, hitting airwaves ?
Earl Ray: Be on da look out for late January/early Febuary!!!! I can't wait... I'm just as excited as everybody else is cuz this my first single so of course I can't wait to hear myself on da radio.

Chilli Fan: You have any ideas for the video yet ? I know the whole Konvict family going to make appearances!
Earl Ray: U know it!!!!!! Konvict will definitely be there pimp!!!! Da only thing I can see for da video right now is a club with a lot of ass and titties going Doying Doying Doying..lol..lol..lol.. I'm sure Akon is gonna come up with some clever idea again.. He always does.

Chilli Fan: Haha well be looking for it, so the album drops when and is it titled yet ?
Earl Ray: The album is set for the end of April and we don't know da name of da album yet but believe me it's gonna be humorous. I wouldn't be surprised if Akon called my album Deez Nutz..lol.lol.lol.lol.
